ALUMINIUM


Aluminum
is a metal that is lightweight and quite important in human life. In the free air of aluminum is easily oxidized to form a thin layer of oxide (Al2O3) which is resistant to corrosion.
Aluminum also is amphoteric, which is able to react with acidic or alkaline solution. Aluminum is a good conductor of electricity. Can be hammered into sheets, drawn into wire, and extruded into bars with a variety of cross sections. Aluminum is also more resistant to corrosion.
